ABOUT ELIF KATIK
Born in Turkey and raised in The Netherlands, Elif Katik is a New York-based women’s wear designer. A graduate of Amsterdam’s renowned Gerrit Rietveld Academy with a degree in fashion and stage design; Elif first started her career as an industry-praised costume and set designer for the Dutch dance community. But drawn to fashion, she unveiled her first couture collection at the world famous Amsterdam Theatre. Well received by the European fashion community who described her line as conceptual “fashion art,” Katik decided to take her collection and venture to New York.
Elif heads the design team for Jordan Taylor, a resort wear brand. With successful collections under Jordan Taylor and Elif for Jordan Taylor, Katik is currently developing a ready-to-wear line under her own name debuting Spring 2013.
